Thanks for ur reply.
I think the cards are recognized, but one of them has not been enabled. When
I use dmesg, I can see as follow:
Atheros HAL provided by OpenWrt, DD-WRT and MakSat Technologies
wifi0: 11a rates: 6Mbps 9Mbps 12Mbps 18Mbps 24Mbps 36Mbps 48Mbps 54Mbps
wifi0: turboA rates: 6Mbps 9Mbps 12Mbps 18Mbps 24Mbps 36Mbps 48Mbps 54Mbps
wifi0: H/W encryption support: WEP AES AES_CCM TKIP
ath_pci: wifi0: Atheros 5413: mem=0x10000000, irq=49
PCI: Enabling device 0000:00:14.0 (0000 -> 0002)
Atheros HAL provided by OpenWrt, DD-WRT and MakSat Technologies
wifi1: 11b rates: 1Mbps 2Mbps 5.5Mbps 11Mbps
wifi1: 11g rates: 1Mbps 2Mbps 5.5Mbps 11Mbps 6Mbps 9Mbps 12Mbps 18Mbps
24Mbps 36Mbps 48Mbps 54Mbps
wifi1: turboG rates: 6Mbps 12Mbps 18Mbps 24Mbps 36Mbps 48Mbps 54Mbps
wifi1: H/W encryption support: WEP AES AES_CCM TKIP
ath_pci: wifi1: Atheros 5413: mem=0x10010000, irq=50
device ath0 entered promiscuous mode
I think the wifi0 & wifi1 mean two different cards. But when I run : cat
etc/config/wireless, the display show:
config 'wifi-device' 'wifi0'
option 'type' 'atheros'
option 'channel' 'auto'
option 'disabled' '1'
config 'wifi-iface'
option 'device' 'wifi0'
option 'network' 'lan'
option 'mode' 'ap'
option 'ssid' 'OpenWrt'
option 'encryption' 'none'
There in no information about wifi1.
So, what should I do to make the other card work?
Thanks,
Chris
Post by Tom SharplesThis should probably be posted on madwifi-users. Sounds like a low-level
setup problem. What happens if you install e.g. two cm9's or XR9's (or any
other standard radio)?

*Subject:* [Madwifi-devel] 2 cards work at the same time
Hi,
I have an RB433 with OpenWrt 10.03 inculding Madwifi. When I insert
Ubiquiti XR7 or XR9, either of them can be recognized. But when I insert
both XR7 and XR9, only one of them can be recognized.
I need the cards to work at the same time.
Does anyone have suggestions in how to make them work at the same time?
Thanks,
Chris
